ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstract submission will be open as from December 1, 2009 and will close on February 1, 2010.
Instructions for submission will follow in due time.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Members of FENS member organizations and members of the American Society of Neuroscience (SfN) are eligible for reduced rates. Speakers and chairs of the plenary lectures, parallel symposia and workshops have their fees waived, but they have to complete their registration electronically and submit an abstract of their presentation before February 1, 2010.

Workshops, abstract book and registration for some specific events such as the student party Jump the FENS require an additional payment.
Registration, abstract submission and hotel room reservation
can be performed in a few steps via this website. Once registered, you
can always change or add items to your registration data. Final
registrations as well as payments will be confirmed by e-mail. The
following sections provide you with more detailed information, but note
that final details will be presented after opening of the on-line
registration by December 1, 2009.
REGISTRATION FEES
Early registration until February 1, 2010. Late registration from February 2 till June 28, 2010.
Registration will also be possible on-site during the Forum (late registration fees apply).
For registration the following categories for participants apply:
Member: A member of one of the societies affiliated to FENS or a member of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN)
Non-member: A participant from academic or non-profit organizations (see information)
Student: A pre-doctoral student.
Postdoctoral fellows, hospital residents, interns and laboratory
technicians do not qualify for the student rate. Students registering
on-line must send by s-mail, e-mail or fax proof of their status. Upon
on-site registration such a proof should be presented as well. Students
will receive a special badge.
Corporate: A participant from a company.
Accompanying person (guest): A guest must
be a non-scientist, guest of a registered participant. Individuals
under the age of 16 cannot attend the meeting without adult
supervision. The fee includes a badge and admittance to the social
events as well as a ticket for public transportation during the
meeting. Guests are not admitted to the scientific events.
REGISTRATION STEPS
On-line registration will start as from December 1, 2009. Instructions on abstract submission will be presented then as well.
On-line payment of the registration fee by credit card via a secure site for electronic money transfer on the Forum website is the recommended and preferred method to finalize registration. Payment by bank transfer is accepted as well, and should be "free of charge for the beneficiary". Unpaid bank charges will be collected on-site. Payments should have been received by February 28, 2010 in case of early registration, and by May 1, 2010, if an abstract have been submitted for the poster session programme. Abstracts will not be programmed if payment is not received by May 1, 2010.
Detailed instructions for payment will follow as from December 1, 2009.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Registration
Cancellations are accepted by e-mail to the registration secretariat, using the contact form.
The registration fee will refunded minus 30% for cancellations
received no later than March 31, 2010. Thereafter no refunds will be
made.
Abstracts
Abstract withdrawal can be requested by e-mail to the FENS Forum Server Office, using the contact
form. Only first authors are allowed to withdraw an abstract. State
your name, registration number and confidential code in the e-mail
message.
Deadline for withdrawal is May 1, 2010.
Submitted abstracts are not published if the first author
cancelled his/her registration, or if the payment of the registration
fee is not received on the FENS Forum 2010 bank account by May 1, 2010.

A letter of invitation can be obtained after your registration process has been completed. Contact the meeting secretariat with your request via the contact form. The letter will be sent to you by e-mail as a PDF file.
