The Bernard Sanberg Memorial Award for Brain Repair
The Bernard Sanberg Memorial Award will be presented by the ASNTR to an individual on the basis of outstanding research contributions in the field of neural therapy and repair. The contributions may be preclinical, clinical, or work which translates basic research to clinical trials. The selection of the awardee will be based on the quality of the contribution and its impact in advancing neural repair. The Award shall consist of a monetary value and a plaque to be given at the ASNTR Annual Meeting. The Award is intended for recognizing outstanding individuals in the field with a preference given to exceptional candidates still early in their career.

Nominations
Any member of the ASNTR may nominate a candidate to receive the Award. No individual may nominate more than one candidate in a given year. All submissions shall be made to the Chair of the Award Committee and must include:
A nominating letter (no more than three pages) including a description of the unique contribution(s) of the candidate, and also the significance of their contribution(s).

- The curriculum vitae of the candidate and three representative papers.
- The deadline for the nominations is March 9, 2012.
